Creating an Application Account
Q: How do I set up an application
account?
A: If you are NEW to the application,
please create an online account by answering the questions
in the ‘YOUR INFORMATION ?’ section of the New User Account
login page.
If you are RETURNING to the application, enter your USER NAME
and PASSWORD in the appropriate fields of the New User Account
section of that page.
Q: Why did
I receive the message, “The Desired User Name that you have
specified is already in use. Please try again.”?
A: The system will not allow duplicate
User Names. You much choose a unique User Name.
Q:
What is a password hint?
A: A Challenge Question is a question
to which only you know the answer in order to retrieve a lost
Password or User Name. You will be asked to specify one during
the account set up process.
Q: How many applications can I complete
using a single application account?
A: Once an account has been set up, it
may be used to submit applications FOR ONE STUDENT only. If
you are submitting applications for more than one student,
each child should have his/her own account.

Using Online Applications
Q: How can I access my online admission
application?
A: You must return to the application
through the school's web site. At Hostel Admission Open use the Apply Online! button
found at the bottom of the page.
Q: Can I bookmark the application
login page?
A: Do NOT bookmark the login page of
your application; bookmarking the application login page will
create a conflict and not allow you into your application.
Q: Can I complete my application
in more than one session?
A: We know that most users take several
sittings to complete their applications. You can work on your
application any time you have an Internet connection. You
may enter and exit your application from either a school's
web site.
Q: How do I save the answers I inputted
in my application?
A: You must click the ‘SAVE’ button on
each application page in order to record your answers.
Q: Why won't the application save
my answers?
If you find that your answers were not
saved, please check your browser's settings/preferences to
make sure that cookies are enabled (the davshahibad online
application requires that your browser/firewall MUST accept
cookies). Alternatively, you can try using a different web
browser.
Q: Why did I receive a 'HTTP/1.0
404 Object Not Found Error' when I tried to access my application?
A: It's likely that you received the
HTTP/1.0 404 Object Not Found Error because you attempted
to enter the application from a bookmarked application login
page. Bookmarking the application login page will create a
conflict and not allow you into your application. To solve
this issue please delete the bookmark and re-access the application
from the school's site (the Apply Online! button is at the
bottom of the screen).
If you receive the "HTTP" error and you did not bookmark the
application login page, then please access your application
by using the 'Apply Online!' button .
Q: Why was I logged out from my
application?
As a security precaution, you will automatically
be logged out of your open application after a period of inactivity.
Please make sure to always click the save button after entering
information and also be sure to log out from your account
if you are going to be away from it for a period of time.
Q: What are the minimum web browser
requirements?
A: Netscape Navigator 7.1, Microsoft
IE 6.0, Firefox 1.0 or Safari are the minimum browser requirements.

Credit Card Denial
Q: My credit
card charge was denied; what happened?
A: Like all businesses, we subscribe
to a bank/credit card processor and acceptance or decline
of a charge is their domain - over which we have no control.
Sometimes international submissions are denied by card processors
as part of their fraud prevention programs. If you have a
card with a United States address you might want to try it.
We can offer some generic advice. Make sure that everything
is accurate and matches - card number, card holder name, card
billing address, card telephone number, and the extra security
code on the back. As far as we know, a good card properly
entered should work. But again, it's up to the banks and card
processors. You may want to call the issuing bank if the problem
persists.
If your charge fails to go through, you can make arrangements
with the school to pay by different means and then we can
move your application to them manually. Please contact us
if you cannot complete your transaction.
