We, at DAV have various clubs for which many activities pertaining to the multidimensional interest based skills of the students are organized once in a week. Our endeavor is to provide a platform to the students to develop self confidence and to enhance their self esteem to execute their social and moral duties in the times to come.
The Clubs are as follows:
LITERARY CLUB
SPORTS AND ECO CLUB
FINE ART CLUB
SCIENCE AND MATHS CLUB
CULTURAL CLUB
COMPUTER CLUB
The students are prepared for four weeks through various skills and techniques. They are given the opportunity to use their newfound knowledge and skill sets to compete in the various inter-school competitions, held every fifth and sixth Saturday.
One of the main objectives of the House system is to foster a sense of collective responsibility and solidarity in students, and at the same time kindle and develop social qualities that are latent in every child. To achieve this goal, inter-house competitions in Literary Arts, Sports, Music, Art and Craft, Computers and Quiz are held on a regular basis.
Each house is headed by an in-charge (a teacher) who is supported by a head prefect, vice head prefect (student), and games captain (student).
The head prefect is responsible for all the prefects in his/her house. The games captain is in-charge of coordinating the sports activities of the student-body.
The system of student government through a prefect-body helps to develop team spirit, co-operation and co-ordination, and inculcates a sense of responsibility.
